Chartered physiotherapist in Hove specialising in back pain, running injuries and performance-related problems in active people who want more than standard treatment.

OUR CLINICAL APPROACH

Precision Assessment.
Targeted Correction.

Structured Rehabilitation.

We work with people who love being active and refuse to settle for ongoing pain or limitation.

We identify what is really holding you back and address it at its source.

Then we build a clear, structured pathway to help you return to consistent performance.

 Endurance Physiotherapy

for Active People

Running · Cycling

· Endurance Sport

We work with active people whose training is limited by recurring injury or inefficiency.

Our focus is identifying where load is being absorbed poorly and restoring alignment so your body can perform properly.

Treatment combines precise hands-on correction with structured rehabilitation so your body can handle training load without symptoms returning.

CLINICAL PILATES

Reformer Workout

Movement Retraining & Clinical Pilates

Restore · Retrain · Strengthen

As a Clinical Pilates Practitioner, I use movement to identify and retrain patterns that contribute

to pain, reduced control and inefficient loading.

Following alignment correction, the reformer helps restore coordination and improve how your body absorbs and transfers load.

This is particularly important in repetitive activities where small imbalances are amplified over time.

It is especially relevant in cases such as hypermobility, midlife changes and endurance-related strain.

The result is a stronger, more resilient foundation before progressing to higher level strength and performance work.

 BODY ALIGNED BIKEFIT

Body Aligned Bike Fit

Assess · Correct · Fit

As a Bike-fit™-certified Clinical Bike-fitter, I take a body-first approach to cycling performance.

Every bike fit begins with a clinical assessment to understand how your body is currently managing load - both on and off the bike.

Reset the System First

Before the bike is adjusted, the body is.

Alignment is corrected, key muscle groups are activated, and movement patterns are restored.

This creates a clean slate, removing the compensations your body has been working around.

Reconnect Through the Pedal

The most important moment comes next.

As the foot meets the pedal during the first cleat adjustments, we re-introduce load into a better-aligned system.

This is where riders often feel an immediate difference:

  • smoother force transfer

  • more balanced effort

  • reduced strain through the back, hips and knees

Not because they are pushing harder, but because the body is finally working efficiently.

We then build the fit from the ground up - cleats first, then saddle position and finally stem guidance, so the bike reflects how your body actually works.

What We Assess

  • Cleat position and foot-to-pedal interface

  • Saddle position, stem and handlebar set-up

  • Lower limb alignment and effective leg length

  • Lumbo-pelvic control and sacroiliac joint load transfer

  • Spinal tolerance to flexion and extension under load

Each element is assessed in relation to how load is transferred through the body, not in isolation.

Leg length is assessed to determine whether any difference is structural or functional.

Where an apparent leg length difference is identified, it is corrected at source before any decisions are made on the bike.

This ensures that decisions such as whether to shim or not are based on true mechanical need, not compensation.

Leg length discrepancy should always be treated as a musculoskeletal issue first, not simply a bike fit adjustment.

How Position is Set

The guiding question is simple:

How can we make your body more comfortable, and then reflect that on the bike?

Positioning is carefully screened, especially in cases of neck or low back pain, to determine how much flexion or extension your spine can tolerate without increasing load unnecessarily.

The aim is not the most aggressive set-up, but the one your body can sustain.

The Outcome

Your bike is fitted to a better-aligned, more efficiently loading body, improving comfort, optimising power transfer and supporting long-term resilience.

Integration into Training

Bike fitting is delivered within a physiotherapy framework and can be progressed over two to three sessions if required.

This allows changes to be introduced gradually and integrated safely into training.

Performance Timing

If you are preparing for a race, allow at least 2 to 3 weeks after changes for your body to adapt.

DSE WORKSTATION ASSESSMENTS

Individual or Group DSE Assesments

Workplace Ergonomics & Alignment

Assess · Adjust · Sustain

Workstation set-up influences how load is distributed through the spine, pelvis

and lower limbs - particularly during prolonged sitting.

Rather than simply adjusting a chair or screen height, we assess how your body is currently managing sustained postural load and identify where inefficient positioning may be contributing to discomfort.

Small, precise adjustments - combined with targeted movement strategies - help reduce cumulative strain

and support long-term spinal health.

ABOUT SABREEN

So _24tom came in with his back niggling

Chartered Physiotherapist
Specialist in Body Alignment & Endurance Performance

I work with runners, cyclists and active people who want to train consistently and perform without recurring injury.

Over many years in practice, I’ve learned that pain and injury rarely happen by chance. They are usually the result of how load is being managed through the body.

My role is to identify what is driving the problem, restore efficient movement and build strength that allows the body to recover and perform at a higher level.

Experience & Background

I have over 30 years of experience as a Chartered Physiotherapist and have worked within private medical practice, alongside a Consultant Rheumatologist, and with national sporting organisations including UK Athletics and the English Institute of Sport.

In the early years of my career, I was mentored by Neil Black, former Head of Physiotherapy at UK Athletics, and worked with him at the London Marathon.

I later worked as a Team GB Physiotherapist for the European 10k Challenge, supporting some of the UK’s top middle-distance runners.

I have also worked with endurance athletes across triathlon, running and cycling, including a long-standing professional relationship with World Champion triathlete Richard Stannard.

Clinical Approach

My work combines detailed assessment, hands-on treatment and structured rehabilitation to restore alignment, improve load transfer and support long-term performance.

I take a whole-body approach, identifying whether the source of a problem lies in the spine, pelvis, or elsewhere in the system, rather than focusing only on where symptoms appear.

This allows for more accurate diagnosis, more effective treatment and more consistent results.

WHAT CLIENTS SAY

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was training to set a world record in the Himalayas but had awful back pain and stiffness. Sabreen got to work and hey presto - I’m now the proud owner of a Guinness World Record for the highest bike ride at 7,246m. She continues to keep me in tip-top shape for my upcoming missions.
— Neil L., Expedition Leader

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’d been struggling with ‘running injuries’ for years and had accepted I’d always be in pain. After my first assessment and realignment work, I went for a test run and for the first time in years felt very little pain - I just cried happy tears.

— Mary S., Runner, Triathlete

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

After years of inconsistent training and recurring hip injuries, Sabreen helped me train consistently and pain-free. I’ve just run my first marathon in 2:45 and I’m looking forward to new challenges in the months ahead.
